On May 20 1927 Charles Lindbergh left Long Island, New York on the first solo
flight
to cross the Atlantic Ocean, landing at Paris the following day.
That
same day (the 20th), 1932 Emelia Earhardt
debarks from Newfoundland to become the first
nonstop, solo flight by a women. She arrived
one day later at Ireland.
